First, my husband and I argued as to whether or not the box could possibly have a box springs in it - he said no way and I told him that it was. We opened the box to find that "some assembly is required." The assembly is very easy. It took us less than 30 minutes for sure. I think a few more screws in the slats would have been much better and I would recommend that to the company - it's a little cheap feeling as is, but that is not a big deal. Anyway, we got to the part where we were supposed to put the cover over the wood frame and I was a little disappointed by the fact that our cover was a little big - didn't fit quite right and so the whole thing looked a little "home-made" if you know what I mean. We went ahead and used it and got no complaints from our guests, so with a bedskirt or long bedspread it works fine. If you need a king size box springs, you want it shipped to you, you don't want to pay a lot, and no one is going to see it I would recommend this item. It met our needs so I am giving it four stars. I took one away because it does appear a little "home-made" to me and a few more screws would have improved the quality.
