(More customer reviews)This futon is easy to put together and is a very sturdy high quality item. It looks great!! It's unique shape makes it a versatile and interesting addition to any room. It allows you to have a futon without the limitations of a normal "sofa-shaped" futon. With the mattress in place the frame is virtually invisible so will blend into the decor of any room. It is easy to change the configuration of the futon from lounger to sofa- one person can do it easily. With my metal futon frame I have to have someone assist me when I open or close it. I am really glad that I purchased this product and now it is "my place" in the family room. (Wellll, I do have to share with my three little dogs!! Because it is low to the ground in the lounging position, my older dog can run right up it without having to jump up or down- a real help as she is older and has arthritis.

The Tri-Fold's unique patented design allows an incredible thirteen different positions, including 8 lounge positions and 4 loveseat positions. The back angle can be set to any of four positions and the foot-rest has swing down legs so that it can be used in the foot-up or foot-down position, additionally the foot-rest section folds under out of the way when not in use. Unlike most pine frames we kiln dry our hardwood to 8% moisture content and plane the wood on 4 sides which yields a smooth clean surface with rounded edges.
